Jack's Quick Recall: A Light-hearted Drabble on Memory
Written on
Chapter 1: A Pub Encounter
In a local pub, Jack quipped, “The speed of light is 299,792,458 meters per second, if I recall correctly.”
“Really? When did you learn that?” Alex inquired, sipping his drink.
“Back in school. It was on a science lab poster,” Jack responded.
“Are you sure that’s accurate?”
“I can’t say for certain, but it feels right to me.”
“I’ll look it up,” Alex said, pulling out his phone. A few moments later, his expression brightened.
“That’s incredible! How do you remember that?”
“Honestly, I have no clue. My mind holds onto trivia like that, yet I can never find my keys.” Jack rummaged through his pockets, looking puzzled.
