Understanding Your Inner Winter
Are you feeling lifeless, despondent, or emotionally numb?
Does your existence resemble a never-ending winter?
If you relate to this, this piece aims to illuminate your current state and inspire hope. Just as winter gives way to spring, so too will you flourish once more.
Reflecting on Nature's Cycle
Yesterday, during a walk, I found myself enveloped in numbness.
The scenery mirrored my feelings, appearing barren and lifeless.
It was as if the world was draped in a heavy fog—everything was grey and devoid of vibrancy.
Why Am I Feeling This Way, God?
In this in-between phase, where winter seems eternal and spring is nowhere in sight, I experienced a profound indifference and sadness, even though I had felt fine the day prior.
This emotional numbness is particularly challenging for me, leaving me confused and seeking divine assistance.
God's Transformative Winter Work
As I walked, my gaze fell upon a bare tree cloaked in fog.
In that moment, God spoke to me, “Though it is winter now, we are on the brink of spring. You’re right; this is an in-between time, but I am still working on you. Notice how I prune this tree during winter? It must shed what no longer contributes to its growth.”
A Glimmer of Hope
Then, my attention was drawn to a bush, and upon closer inspection, I noticed budding blossoms! They were the very blooms I cherished in my childhood!
Tears welled up in my eyes as hope flooded back into my heart.
This plant, known as pussy willow, brought back fond memories of my youth.
You Will Flourish Again
God reassured me, “Do you see? Although you currently feel lifeless and everything appears grey, soon, life and color will return. This tree will bloom again, and so will you! Joy will return to your heart.”
You are being pruned to blossom!
God urged me to share this message with you, as it pertains to you as well.
Your Heavenly Father is preparing you for a fruitful season ahead.
Letting Go of the Old
Is there anything in your life that you need to release?
What areas does God wish to prune for your benefit?
We often find ourselves spread too thin, trying to engage in numerous good activities, but we must discern which ones align with God's purpose for us.
Taking time to listen to His Spirit is crucial.
If we resist God's pruning, we may face challenges, including health issues.
God must eliminate certain aspects to allow us to thrive and bear fruit in the seasons to come.
A Call for Reflection
Ask God today:
What do you desire to prune in my life, God?
What must I relinquish?
Which good activities should I let go of to concentrate on the God-given tasks?
Maintain your patience and trust; do not lose heart.
Spring is on the horizon!
You will flourish and experience joy, color, and life once again.
God and His angels are rooting for you, as am I!
Until next time!
Love & Blessings,
Malaika
