I can't quite recall how I first discovered Writesonic; it wasn't something I actively sought out. There had been chatter about writers leveraging AI tools, a concept I was initially skeptical about. However, many writers seemed to find it beneficial in managing their workloads.

Eventually, I stumbled upon Writesonic and decided to create a free account. It's a common tactic for entrepreneurs to entice users with the promise of a free sign-up. Soon after, I was able to link my account with my email, making the setup process seamless.

Within minutes, I had my Writesonic account ready to go. New users are typically granted a limited number of credits, which are deducted each time Writesonic generates an article for them.

Given that most of my writing focuses on personal experiences, I was uncertain about how Writesonic would handle my life stories. What topics would it cover? Honestly, I had no idea but was curious to explore new areas.

Initially, I was enthusiastic. You might wonder why I would venture into unfamiliar subjects. A wise person once told me that a writing career encourages exploration beyond one's comfort zone.

While I was not entirely out of my depth, these were indeed topics of interest; I simply lacked in-depth knowledge. Writesonic offered a variety of title suggestions, introductions, and outlines, making the process interactive.

At each step, I chose the options that resonated with the narrative I wanted to convey. The final stage involved generating a draft based on my selected outline. Thanks to this AI tool, I saved significant time in article preparation.

However, I quickly noticed that the initial drafts often contained numerous typos, necessitating thorough proofreading. With subsequent updates, the frequency of errors decreased, but I still found it essential to refine and restructure the content.

I took it a step further by verifying the information presented in the drafts, as Writesonic doesn't automatically provide references. When I found relevant sources, I included them at the end of the articles for added credibility. Here are a couple of examples of articles I crafted using Writesonic, which I then edited, formatted, and verified for grammar.

The Drawbacks of Using Writesonic

One notable downside is that as you create more articles, your credits diminish. Eventually, you may find yourself with none left. You can regain credits by reviewing Writesonic on designated platforms, which serves to promote the service.

Recently, they introduced a feature that allows users to earn credits by creating a one-minute video detailing how Writesonic has influenced their writing journey. I think that's a fantastic initiative, although I haven't taken advantage of it yet.

I have accumulated credits through reviews on external sites, but that will also run out based on my output. If you're not inclined to write reviews, you may end up needing to pay for the service. It's akin to a subscription model, which I opted not to pursue as my earnings on this platform don't justify the expense.

When Writesonic generates content, I believe it’s crucial to perform fact-checking. This practice ensures that you provide quality assurance for your readers.

Lastly, I must emphasize that an AI tool cannot effectively capture my personal experiences. Most of my writing stems from my life stories—how can an AI replicate that authenticity?
